Susan Fiegl

Mother, wife, silly fun-lover, school social worker by day, counselor by night, a superhero without a cape.

Susan has been married 32 years and has two children, one of whom is about to marry, giving her three children. Born and bred in Springfield, Susan is known to be easy to talk to and asks interesting questions that you would not think to ask yourself. She has lots of “wonderings” and uses these to assist her clients in becoming the best versions of themselves. “I’m all about creating a treatment plan and going back to it—I consult with my clients about whether we’ve done what we have meant to do. I’m all about the next step.” She has a cheerful demeanor around the office and is collaborative and reinforcing to her colleagues. We feel lucky to have her as our “counselor-by-night.”

Susan treats children, teens and adults with individual, couples and family therapy. She is particularly experienced with substance abuse and can perform assessments as well as providing compassionate treatment for a variety of substance use disorders.

Susan is a masters level social worker and graduated from The Ohio State University in 2019 with a MSW. She is also a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor and is currently working on her Early Childhood Certification. She works out of the Springfield office. Susan typically sees clients age 5 years old and up. Some of her favorite referrals include Alcohol and Drug Addiction, Anxiety, Grief, Emotional Regulation, and Executive Functioning Skill-Building.
