Positive Perspectives is a group of mental health professionals who are dedicated to helping with life’s difficulties. We are trained psychologists, social workers, and counselors. But more than that, we are real people who have coped with and transcended difficult life experiences ourselves.

If you have never been in counseling before, you may think that seeking help with personal problems is difficult to do. It does require courage to face issues, to take a chance, and to trust in others. To do so can lead to a happier, more positive, more fulfilling life.

Privacy Concerns

Seeking help often brings up questions about privacy. Because we understand your need to be sure that what you share remains confidential, we take great care in explaining and enforcing the legal standards that protect your privacy. Helping you heal means protecting your trust.

The Care You Can Expect

Change requires respect, care and kindness from those here to help. Our office staff is both professional and discreet. Our therapists adhere to the highest standards of professional ethics. We are committed to creating an environment focused on equality, inclusion, empowerment and respect.

  • Convenient hours are important to you, so we have flexible office hours; we offer appointments during regular working hours as well as evenings. Limited Saturday appointments may be available.
  • Accessibility after hours is one of our goals. We maintain a 24-hour, seven day-a-week voicemail system with a crisis call option. We will respond as soon as possible in a crisis.

Assistance with Insurance

Most insurance programs fully or partially cover our outpatient mental health treatment. We are approved by most insurance companies and many Employee Assistance Programs (EAP). We are experienced in helping clients find out about their coverage, and we assist clients with insurance claims.

We are not a Medicaid-supported facility. If you wish to use Medicaid, Care Source or Molina insurance, please contact your public community health center.

Methods of Payment Accepted

Out-of-pocket costs are less than you might expect. If you do not wish to use your benefits or have financial questions, please discuss your needs with your therapist.

We accept cash, checks, most insurances, and credit and debit cards.
