Betsy received her Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from The Ohio State University in 1974. She is a Licensed Independent Social Worker and addictions specialist. Betsy has 40 years of experience as a therapist and has held supervisory positions in both Mental Health and Addictions Treatment Programs, where she has worked extensively with individuals, couples, families and groups. She has been married for 23 years and has one daughter, three stepsons and five grandchildren. She is one of the original owners of Positive Perspectives Counseling Centers.
Betsy’s specialties with adults and adolescents are: Depression; Anxiety; Grief; Trauma and Abuse Recovery; Substance Abuse Assessment; Recovery Issues for Chemical and Co-Dependency and ACOA’s. She works out of the Springfield office.
