Shane is an avid movie-goer, he loves shopping for office supplies—especially pens! —and is a reader who also enjoys a good docu-series, true crime and the latest podcasts on YouTube, Tik Tok and Discord. Although Shane is visually impaired with a degenerative eye condition, he does not let this stop him from doing anything he enjoys. He is a fierce advocate and is especially adept when working with victimization and trauma endured throughout the lifespan.

Saidee Purcell

Saidee is passionate about aiding clients who are oppressed and feel powerless. In addition to her interest in LGBTQ+ identities and trauma-informed care, she advocates for the child/teen while also supporting the caregiver in the process.

Saidee typically sees teens, adults and families and prefers to see clients between the ages of 7 through 29 to work through traumatic experience, depression, anxiety.

Mike’s passion for making sense of the pain and sorrow in life, combined with a gentle spirit, makes him a capable and effective therapist. The importance of forgiveness is a focus in his work and faith is often discussed when desired.

Mike typically sees clients from 12 years of age into adulthood and he enjoys Couples/Family work, Anxiety, Depression/Bipolar, and Christian Counseling.

Susan is easy to talk to and asks interesting questions. She uses “wonderings” to assist her clients in becoming the best versions of themselves. She has a cheerful demeanor and is particularly experienced with substance abuse.

Susan typically sees clients of all ages, starting at 5 years old. Her favorite referrals include Alcohol and Drug Addiction, Anxiety, Grief, Emotional Regulation, and Executive Functioning Skill-Building, Couples and Family Therapy.

Albie Cowen

Husband, father, grandfather; collector of vinyl records and music lover; choir singer and enthusiastic gardener.

Albie loves the new perspectives that teens bring—he finds their openness and directness refreshing. Teens relate to his sincerity. He is a particular asset to families in which communication is difficult.

Albie sees adolescent clients between age 11 and late 20s. Some of his favorite treatment areas include Depression and Anxiety, Anger Problems, Suicidality, Family Issues, and Trauma.

Jordan Thurman

Jordan tries to “keep it real and genuine” and enjoys a sense of humor. She is intentional in each session, modeling some of the skills she teaches. She is a can-do counselor, full of ideas and resources.

Jordan typically sees clients from ages 12 years through adulthood, through Telehealth and in-person counseling. Some of her favorite referrals include Trauma/EMDR, Perinatal Mental Health, LGBTQIA+, Depression/Anxiety.

John Beer

John is a very patient listener and is focused on the present. He is practically-minded and does not get bogged down in “a lot of psychological terms — I try to be real-life.” In treatment, he emphasizes what his clients are doing well.

John typically sees clients starting at age 20. Some of his favorite referrals include Seniors, Couples, Substance Abuse recovery, Anxiety/Depression, Trauma, and Anger Management.
