Emily has been married for 8 years and has two young daughters as well as two Saint Bernard puppies. She loves a challenge in all areas of life and is an enthusiastic team player and collaborator. She approaches therapy with enormous respect for her clients and their expertise in their own lives and believes strongly in the power to heal through deep discussion and searching. Emily is passionate about learning and understanding how the present is illuminated through the light of the past and feels honored to be on her client’s journeys to discover this alongside them. Emily has worked as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor since 2014 and is deeply committed to working with those struggling with depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, grief, and issues surrounding life changes and adjustments. She has extensive training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Emily received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kent State University in 2014. She works out of the Springfield office. Emily typically sees clients age 18 years old and up. Some of her favorite referrals include Trauma/Complex Trauma, EMDR, Family of Origin Problems, Anxiety and Depression.
